ACT no longer talks?

Hello all!

Has anyone else run into the trouble where ACT no longer speaks the trigger or timers?  The beeps work just fine, but all of the TTS have stopped working, even when I try to manually force them to speak.  I only noticed over the past week.  I have deleted and reinstalled ACT with no luck.

  • I would check the Windows set volume for ACT in the Volume Mixer.  (right-click the volume tray-icon)

    Making a beep is handled by the system and would not be affected by ACT volume controls.

    Additionally, ACT could be routing to the wrong output device... such as through an HDMI output.  In Windows 10, search in the Settings app for "app volume". 

    Lastly, there's always the TTS volume setting in ACT itself to check...
