XML Config Subscription updating against my will!

My guild's triggers and timers have things about them which I don't like so I uncheck them and use my own for certain ones. However, when it updates, it re-checks the ones I didn't want checked.

Worse than this, sometimes when I actually have the update set to Notify only, it updates and checks them anyway!

This is a bit of a nightmare in, for example, first named in H3 Native Mettle after we've killed all the adds and then start on the named and then it's all these doubled up triggers and it's hard to hear what's going on . Same thing with the end dragon mob if we continue it the next day. I suddenly have to try and uncheck the bad ones on the fly and inevitably cause a wipe and piss everyone in the group off.

  • I can't find anything wrong with how it currently works.  My assumption is that you're not understanding the UI which could be considered a different problem to fix.  My UX choices have not always been the best.

Each URL will have its own update setting: ignore, notify or auto.  You must select an added URL to determine this setting.  If things are auto-updating, click on each and make sure they have the correct setting.

If a URL is set to ignore, it will be queried but the result won't notify you or change your settings.  It will display a gray checkbox if it has an update.

If a URL is set to notify, it will be queried and if there is an update... ACT will tell you upon startup.  It will display a normal checkmark if there is an update.

If a URL is set to auto, it will be queried and automatically imported when ACT starts.  It will also display a normal checkmark if there is an update.

Manually initiating an update will import all URLs with a normal checkmark regardless of settings or changed status.  If you don't want a URL imported when you manually update, you must uncheck it manually.

    It's set to Notify.

Regardless of the fact that it randomly updates without me giving the go-ahead, I would actually like to be able to update it without it turning on all the checkboxes next to specific triggers and timers that I don't want to use from the subscribed xml. Is there a way this can be added?
