ACT triggers do not update after adding/editing

When I add or edit a trigger it does not reflect on the list until I restart ACT.

  • You need to be more specific or perhaps provide error logs that show something is wrong.

It works for me, but you may have some sort of tricky setup that I never tested for.

  • Everything in your video doesn't work until I restart ACT. Relevant info as far as tricky setup would be that my ACT data folder is a Directory Symbolic Link to a folder in my SharePoint drive.

While I wouldn't recommend using a Microsoft flavored cloud sync folder, it should not matter in this instance.  The config file isn't really used until you start ACT.  Failure to save the config wouldn't affect ACT as it is running.

I strongly recommend against using a OneDrive-like folder if you are loading DLL type plugins from here.  Windows may consider it an Internet zone location depending on how smart it is at understanding the symbolic link.  Consumer OneDrive is known to cause problems when DLL files are loaded from a directly managed folder.  It's also a problem to run ACT from a folder like this.

Would you be willing to attach a ZIP of your Advanced Combat Tracker.config.xml or an export of your Custom Triggers from the Options tab?  Also, if you're willing, the Advanced Combat Tracker.log file.  You can alternately send me the log file by using the Feedback feature in the About tab.
